SR AFRO CHICKS & BREEDERS LTD has been in operation since 2014. It has been founded by a group of highly motivated people with years of experience in various aspects of poultry rearing between them.

Commercial Layer:

The 150 acre farm in Luweero, Uganda, comprises the poultry commercial layer farming facilities of brooding, growing and laying, all in environment controlled micro climate sheds for a bird population of 1,000,000. Support structures include an administrative block, sanitary facilities and accommodation quarters all enclosed in a well secure facility.

Commercial Breeder/ Hatchery:

The 45 acre farms in Kijaguza and Kakoge, Nakasongola District ,Uganda, house the Broiler Breeder farming facilities of brooding, growing and laying, all in environment controlled micro-climate sheds for a bird population of 40000 with plans to expand the capacity in the future and present production capcity is 200,000 chicks/week .

Commercial Broiler:

The broiler farms with a total acreage of 70 acres are situated all over Uganda producing fresh, high quality chicken. An Abattoir with a capacity of processing up to 16,000 birds per day is located in Bombo, Luwero District. The current bird population is 270,000 with plans of expanding to 600,000 in the near future.

Commercial Poultry Feed:

We have a mash feed mill of capacity 20 tons/hour and a pellet feed mill of 7 tons/ hour capacity. Our silos can store 8,000 tons of Feed in Luwero district. Our Feeds are formulated under the supervision of technical vets at our lab facility.

Food Safety Policy

SR Afro Chicks and Breeders Limited is committed to produce and supply high quality fresh Edible chicken eggs in shells that are fit and safe for human consumption. SR Afrochicks and Breeders Limited is committed to achieve and exceed customer satisfaction while meeting applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements and ensuring the development and implementation of food safety systems. The company is also committed to continual improvement and shall ensure periodic verification and review of the HACCP based food safety system.

This policy is supported by clear and measurable objectives, its implementation at all levels of the organization shall be verified, and outcomes reviewed annually or as need arises. It shall be communicated to all stakeholders to ensure its well understood.

Food Safety Objectives

1. Ensure Safe and Fit Products

To maintain 100% compliance with HACCP principles in the production and supply of chicken eggs to ensure they are fit and safe for human consumption

2. Exceed Customer Satisfaction

To achieve a customer satisfaction rate of at least 95% annually by addressing complaints related to product safety within five business days.

3. Regulatory and Standards Compliance

Achieve 100% compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to food safety in all operations annually.
