Feed Mill Operator

The Feed Mill Operator shall be responsible for making feed as per company production schedules and all aspects of ingredient handling including receiving, conveying, mixing, and inventory management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate the feed mill within the provided company schedules
- Making feeds based on the priority of feed needs
- Conveying ingredients to the proper bin locations for the computer to batch properly
- Maintaining inventory of all ingredients, including inventory count, ingredient needs, ingredient receiving, and ingredient placement at desired levels
- Maintain equipment on a regular schedule to avoid breakdowns and anticipate and plan for major overhauls requiring shutdowns.
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on all equipment in the mill
- Manage and fulfill all reporting and record-keeping requirements.
- Follow standards of quality as provided by the company and observe other manufacturing regulatory controls.
- Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean working environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
Qualifications
- Diploma in related field
- At least 4 years of experience in feed mill operations
- Mechanical maintenance skills shall be an added advantage
- Problem-solving skills
- Ready to work under minimum supervision
